Pressing Instructions

Following the recommended application instructions below will help ensure the best results and long-lasting durability of your transfers. Press settings may vary slightly depending on your heat press, garment, and material, so we always recommend testing on a sample item before full production.

DTF (Direct-to-Film) Transfers

Recommended Settings

  • Temperature: 315°F (157°C)
  • Time: 10–15 seconds
  • Pressure: Medium to Firm

Application Steps

  1. Pre-press the garment for 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
  2. Position the transfer on the garment.
  3. Press at 315°F for 10–15 seconds using medium to firm pressure.
  4. Peel carrier sheet hot.
  5. For maximum durability, we recommend covering the design with parchment paper, kraft paper, or a Teflon sheet and repressing for an additional 5–10 seconds.

Sublimation Transfers

Recommended Settings

  • Temperature: 400°F (204°C)
  • Time: 50–100 seconds
  • Pressure: Medium to Firm

Application Steps

  1. Pre-press the substrate or garment for a few seconds to remove moisture.
  2. Secure the sublimation transfer with heat-resistant tape.
  3. Press at 400°F for 50–100 seconds using medium to firm pressure.
  4. Carefully remove the transfer immediately after pressing, as it will be hot.
  5. Allow the item to cool before handling.

Important: Sublimation works best on white or light-colored polyester garments and polyester-coated hard goods. Sublimation inks will not print white and are not recommended for 100% cotton garments.

UV DTF Transfers

UV DTF transfers require no heat press and can be applied directly to many hard, smooth surfaces.

Application Steps

  1. Clean the application surface thoroughly to remove dust, dirt, grease, or oils.
  2. Peel the transfer from the backing.
  3. Carefully position the design onto the surface.
  4. Press firmly over the entire design using your fingers or a squeegee.
  5. Slowly peel away the carrier film, leaving the design adhered to the surface.
