DTF vs. DTG Printing
Understanding the Difference
Both DTF and DTG produce full-color apparel, but they use completely different printing methods.
DTF Transfers
DTF artwork is printed onto a special transfer film, powdered, cured, and then heat pressed onto the garment.
Benefits
✔ Works on nearly every fabric
✔ Excellent color vibrancy
✔ No garment pretreatment
✔ Can be stored for future use
✔ Easy to apply later
DTG (Direct-to-Garment)
DTG prints directly onto the garment using specialized textile printers.
Benefits
✔ Extremely soft hand feel
✔ Great for cotton garments
✔ Excellent photographic quality
